Shannon Calderone, Ph.D.

Kathleen Cowin, Career Track Associate Professor, received her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Seattle University (2006). Kathleen served as an elementary teacher and an elementary and middle school principal before joining WSU. She also completed her Superintendent certification.

Scholarship: Mentoring in educational settings (mentoring to enhance educational leader formation, the development of mentoring relationships, the development of co-mentoring networks and circles among current educational leadership students and novice educational leaders, and mentor/mentee mentoring education). My research also includes the study of a “Collaborative Conversations” process Dr. Sarah Newcomer and I have developed that brings future educational leaders and pre-service teachers together during their certification coursework to discuss culturally sustaining, socially just pedagogy.
