The edTPA isn’t some hurdle. It’s a tool… for your long-term success!
The edTPA is completed during your student teaching placement.
All the stuff you collect and produce as part of this process will become your “portfolio.”
The portfolio is submitted to an external scorer (Pearson). A passing score is required for certification. PESB has set a statewide passing score of 40 or higher for the edTPA.
If you do not receive a passing score, remediation and re-submission is required and handled on a case-by-case basis (but, we’ll do our very best to help you not reach that point).
